Durable and intuitive, the Philips HeartStart Onsite and HeartStart FRx AEDs are designed to offer performance in any situation and any setting.

If you need a portable defibrillator for harsh conditions, be sure to check out the Philips HeartStart FRx. For offices or public outdoor settings, the HeartStart Onsite AED is an excellent choice. With clear voice prompts that explain each step at the rescuer’s pace and rephrase instructions if a step is missed, both of the Philips HeartStart AEDs are designed to help any bystander save a life.

Philips HeartStart FRx AED

You never know exactly when, or where, a sudden cardiac arrest will happen. If you need a rugged AED for on-the-go or outdoor excursions, the Philips HeartStart FRx AED is a great option. Portable and tough, the FRx is designed to be ready in an emergency, even in extreme conditions. With exceptional resistance to inclement weather, the HeartStart FRx can withstand up to 1,100 pounds of pressure and drops from 4 feet.

In addition, the HeartStart FRx AED provides clear, intuitive verbal instructions to direct the responder, and utilizes SMART analysis to determine and deliver the best shock if a shock is necessary. The voice prompts will recognize if a step is missed, and will repeat and even rephrase instructions until the step has been completed.

Philips HeartStart Onsite AED

In addition to the FRx, which is ideal for scouting, aviation, boating, and other outdoor activities, Philips also offers the HeartStart Onsite AED, which has all the durability and reliability of the FRx, but is kept in a wall box. This makes it ideal for businesses and public places where you need immediate access to an AED in the event of an emergency. The Onsite AED can be purchased with a slim case, a standard case, or a watertight carry case, making it suitable for a variety of locations. With the same clear and intuitive voice instruction features as the FRx, the onsite AED will help you keep everyone protected.

Philips FRx HeartStart Pads (for the Portable Defibrillator)

With many other AEDs (including the Philips HeartStart Onsite), you must have adult pads as well as pediatric pads on hand to stay ready for any cardiac emergency, regardless of the patient’s age. The Philips FRx SMART Pads II can be used for both children and adults when you change a setting on the AED. So you don’t need separate pediatric pads on hand, which can save you money upfront and on replacement pads.

The AED provides guidance on CPR and analyzes a person’s heart rhythm to determine whether a shock is required. For AED use on infants/children, an optional Pediatric Key is available, so you will save money not having to stock both adult and infant/child pads. Defibrillator accessories are available online, so simple to purchase replacement parts, such as electrode pads and batteries.

Philips HeartStart Pads for Adults (for the Onsite Defibrillator)

Every four years or after a use, you will need to replace the adult pads on your Philips HeartStart Onsite AED. It’s advisable to have two pairs on hand to use in the event of a second emergency. The adult pads are for use on individuals who are 8 years or older or weigh 55 pounds or more.

Philips HeartStart Pediatric Pads (for the Onsite Defibrillator)

For the Philips HeartStart Onsite AED, you’ll need a set of pediatric pads on hand in the event that a person under the age of 8 and weighing under 55 pounds suffers a sudden cardiac arrest.

Philips Heartstart AEDs: Intuitive, Clear Guidance to Help Anyone Save a Life

Emergency responders can’t always arrive at the scene of a sudden cardiac arrest fast enough to save the victim. The Philips HeartStart AEDs—both the Onsite and the portable FRx—can equip anyone, trained medical professional or not, to use the AED effectively, even if they’ve never performed CPR before. The voice prompts are extremely intuitive, so as the AED monitors the victim’s body and heart status, the defibrillator can sense if a shock is needed, if CPR is being performed correctly, or even if a step is missed. In the event of a missed step, the voice prompts will calmly repeat and even rephrase instructions until the responder can safely move on to the next step. This helps expand the number of potential rescuers which can positively impact a victim’s chance of survival.
