Roughly 10,000 sudden cardiac arrests happen in U.S. workplaces every year, and most small businesses have no one on staff with medical training. Survival drops about 10% for every minute without a shock. EMS averages 7–14 minutes. An AED on the wall and an employee who's watched a short training video can respond in under 3 — and they're protected by Good Samaritan laws in every state when they do.
Built for the person who's never done this. Pull the green handle and the FRx turns on and starts talking — calm, step-by-step voice instructions that adapt to what the rescuer is doing, including CPR coaching. Pads are pre-connected, so there's nothing to plug in. Once CPR stops, it can deliver a shock in about eight seconds. Your office manager, shop foreman, or barista can use it.
Rugged enough for the shop floor. The FRx is Philips' tough-environment AED — IP55-rated against dust and water, drop-tested onto concrete, and rated to survive being crushed under 500 lbs. It works in a warehouse, a garage, a kitchen, a landscaping truck, or a front office equally well.
One set of pads for everyone. Insert the optional infant/child key and the FRx switches to pediatric mode using the same pads — no separate electrodes to buy or find. Useful for businesses with families in the door: daycares, dance studios, retail, restaurants.
Set it and check it. The FRx self-tests daily and shows a green check so anyone walking past can confirm it's ready. Battery lasts 4 years; pads last about 2. The included inspection tag gives your designated person a place to log a 30-second monthly look, which is all the maintenance most small businesses ever need. Eight-year Philips warranty.
On the wall, where people can see it. The metal wall cabinet keeps the AED protected and in one known place. The high-visibility yellow sign is readable from across a room, and the door decal tells customers, employees, and inspectors the building is equipped before they walk in.

Training and support. AED Team is an authorized Philips distributor, and our sister company Code 1 Training Solutions is an American Heart Association training center with locations across the Eastern U.S. We can train your team on-site or in a scheduled class, help you designate a responder and write a one-page emergency plan, and set up expiration reminders so pads and batteries get replaced on time. Ask about insurance discounts — many carriers reduce premiums for businesses with an AED and trained staff.
