Product Details
The Defibtech DCF-210 High Capacity Battery Pack keeps your Lifeline AED ready for action with a two-battery system that handles both rescue operations and daily self-checks.
What's Included
- Primary battery (DBP-2800) - Powers the AED's main functions: analyzing heart rhythms and delivering shocks during rescues
- 9-volt lithium battery (DAC-410) - Powers the AED's automatic self-testing features
Together, these two batteries make up the complete DCF-210 battery pack.
Performance You Can Count On
The DBP-2800 primary battery delivers 7-year standby life when installed in your AED and provides up to 300 shocks or 1600 hours of continuous monitoring and rescue operations. Need a more budget-friendly option? The 5-year standard battery (DCF-200) is also available. Both options include a 4-year manufacturer guarantee from date of purchase.
Battery Expiration and Replacement
Every Defibtech battery has an expiration date printed on the manufacturer's label. Here's what you need to know:
The 9-volt battery needs replacing every 6-12 months, even though the primary DBP-2800 lasts 7 years. Don't worry—if the 9-volt battery dies, your AED will still work and deliver shocks as long as the primary battery is good.
How to Know When to Replace
Your AED tells you exactly what it needs. If either battery needs replacing, the unit will chirp and the status indicator will flash red instead of green. To find out which battery is the problem:
- Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds, then release
- The AED will verbally announce either "replace 9-volt" or "replace battery"
Simple as that—no guesswork, no troubleshooting, just clear guidance on what needs replacing.
