Congregations gather the people most at risk for sudden cardiac arrest — older members, big crowds, and the emotional peaks of weddings, funerals, and holidays — in buildings that rarely have a medical professional on site. When it happens, the person who responds will be an usher, a deacon, or the parent sitting in the next pew. Survival drops about 10% for every minute without a shock. EMS averages 7–14 minutes. Made for the volunteer who's never done this. The CR2 uses ClearVoice™ prompts — calm, plain-language instructions that adjust to what the rescuer is doing. It runs a metronome for compressions and, unlike most AEDs, keeps analyzing the heart rhythm during CPR with cprINSIGHT™ technology, so the rescuer isn't told to stop and wait as often. Fewer pauses, more effective CPR, better odds for the person on the floor.

One device for the whole congregation. Press the child mode button and the CR2 delivers a reduced-energy shock through the same pads — no separate pediatric electrodes to buy or find during children's church or VBS. A bilingual English/Spanish option is available for congregations where a rescuer's first language may not be English.

Low upkeep for a volunteer-run building. Pads and battery each last 4 years, the device self-tests daily, and a readiness indicator on the handle shows green so anyone walking past can confirm it's good to go.
