Defibtech

Defibtech manufactures the award-winning original Lifeline™ AED, which has been praised for its innovative design and durability. Defibtech also created the only AED with a full-color LCD screen, designed to play a video that demonstrates what the rescuer should do to save a victim of sudden cardiac arrest.

With both semi-automatic and fully automatic defibrillation options available to select at checkout, these remarkably compact, lightweight AEDs are simple, reliable, and easy to upgrade, offering performance you can count on when every second counts.

Defibtech Lifeline AED Battery: Standard vs High Capacity

When purchasing the original Lifeline AED, you have the option to select the standard battery or the high capacity battery at checkout. Here are the main differences so you can select the best option for your situation: The standard battery has a 5-year life and delivers 125 shocks (or works continuously for 8 hours). The high capacity battery has a 7-year life and delivers 300 shocks (or works continuously for 16 hours). Regardless of what battery you decide to purchase, know that both batteries have a longer standby life than most other AED batteries on the market, which generally need to be replaced every four years.

Defibtech Lifeline™ View

Why just tell a rescuer what to do in a cardiac arrest when you can show them, too? The unique Defibtech Lifeline View AED takes rescue to a whole new level, providing full-color video that walks a responder step-by-step through CPR compressions, rescue breathing, and defibrillation. In addition, the responder can select whether they want to perform CPR with compressions only or with compressions and breathing protocol. The instructions will adjust according to their preference.

The Lifeline View AED expands the number of potential rescuers by making anyone feel confident in their life-saving efforts, thus minimizing responder hesitation and improper administration of aid.

Defibtech Lifeline: An Award-Winning AED

An AED needs to be functional, of course. The team at Defibtech also decided that an AED should be lightweight, portable, easy to use, and compact, yet durable enough to withstand the test of time and the elements, standing ready for a cardiac emergency. So they created the original Lifeline™ AED, which has since won multiple awards and recognition—and has even been on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City—for its groundbreaking design.
