Cardiac Science

Cardiac Science Powerheart® AEDs can be utilized by anyone, anywhere, from trained EMS personnel to first-time rescuers. Dual language voice prompts walk the responder through every step of the rescue. The Cardiac Science G5 AEDs are ideal for public areas due to the dual language feature and real-time feedback based on the 2015 American Heart Association CPR guidelines. Already have a G3 or G5? Ensure your defibrillator is ready for a cardiac emergency by keeping the pads and battery up to date.

Looking for the Cardiac Science Powerheart® G3 AED?

The Cardiac Science Powerhouse® G3 AED is no longer being manufactured. However, there are G3 AEDs still in use, so we sell G3 replacement parts. These include adult pads, pediatric pads, and batteries.

Cardiac Science Powerheart® G3 vs G5 AEDs: What’s the Difference?

There are three primary features that differentiate the G3 and the G5 AEDs. These are:

  • The G3 includes polarized pads; the G5 pads are non-polarized.
  • The G3 does not include CPR guidance; the G5 has the option to utilize pads with CPR assistance and real-time feedback.
  • The G5 includes a dual-language option so the user can hear prompts in English or in Spanish, and can toggle between the two during a rescue if need be.

Cardiac Science Powerheart® G5 AED

Stay ready to equip anyone to become a rescuer in a cardiac emergency with Cardiac Science Powerheart® G5 AED. Featuring corrective prompts and real-time feedback available in two languages, the G5 is ideal for a bystander who suddenly finds themselves in the role of life-saving hero. Additionally, the Intellisense CPR (ICPR) Technology measures compressions to ensure the best quality CPR.

Cardiac Science AED Battery Lasts 4 Years

We sell batteries for both G3 and G5, although the G3 is no longer being manufactured. It’s vital to replace your AED battery with a certified, branded battery to ensure the functionality of your device. Both the battery for the G3 and the battery for the G5 have a 4-year standby life (meaning they are installed in the AED and the AED is on standby, ready to be utilized in an emergency).

Both batteries have high protection levels against water and dust. Each includes a Rescue Ready® indicator that reports the status of the battery, rescue pads, and internal circuits after regular self-tests, so you can feel confident knowing that your AED is ready to save.

Cardiac Science G5 & G3 AED Pads for Adults

If you are looking to replace the pads for your Cardiac Science Powerheart® G5 AED, please be advised that there are two distinct options of pads you can purchase, and we sell both.

One option is the Adult CPR Feedback (ICPR) AED Replacement Pads. These provide real-time rescue feedback in accordance with the 2015 AHA and ERC CPR guidelines. The other option is the Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 Adult AED Replacement Pads, which do not provide CPR assistance.

For the Cardiac Science G3 AED, we sell the polarized adult defibrillation electrode pads.

All pads have a 2 year shelf life and are one-time use. Adult size pads can be used on people 8 years or older weighing 55 pounds or more.

Cardiac Science G3 & G5 Pediatric Pads

Pediatric pads are available to have on hand for patients under the age of 8, weighing less than 55 pounds. The Cardiac Science Powerheart® G5 Pediatric AED Replacement Pads and G3 AED Pediatric Pads have a 2 year shelf life and can only be used one time.

It is important to note that the G3 pads are polarized, while the G5 pads are non-polarized (meaning they can be placed on either side of the chest, or on the back and chest).

AED in Spanish: Dual Language Capabilities

The Cardiac Science Powerheart® G5 AED includes a dual language capability that allows users to hear the life-saving prompts in English or Spanish. A user can toggle between the two languages with the push of a button during a rescue. This makes the G5 AED especially useful in public settings, such as schools, parks, places of worship, retail stores, or fitness centers.
